Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm
The Nipissing Township Museum is situated on Highway 654, in Nipissing Village. The museum is housed in a former church made of hand-hewn logs, that was built by craftsmen in the late 1800's. The building itself is a former Methodist church that became an Anglican church when the Methodist and Presbyterian churches became United. It is one of the oldest churches in
the diocese of Algoma, often visited by the famous Missionary, Reverend Gowan Gillmor. Some artifacts from the church itself, and many others representing the history of the area, are on display in the Museum.
