The spinning wheel

This spinning wheel is just one of the many artifacts depicting pioneer life.

The S.S. Hurdmand

An anchor and ship's wheel from the S.S. Hurdmand, that sailed Lake Kippawa, can be found as part of the marine display in the Mattawa and District Museum.

The war memorial exhibit

The war memorial exhibit celebrates the men and women who served in both World Wars.

The Voyageurs

The Mattawa and District Museum is located at the junction of the Mattawa and Ottawa Rivers. This site on this historic waterway has been visited by Samuel de Champlain, John Siveright, J.R. Booth , the Voyageurs and many more. Now we await your visit.
