Open Saturday and Sunday only 10:00 - 5:00 from the first Saturday in May to the third Sunday in June. Open daily 10:00 - 5:30 from the last Thursday in June until we close for the season on October Thanksgiving Sunday.

MORE THAN A MUSEUM. This unique example of late 19th century Victorian commercial architecture is alive and a hive of activity. The Museum, with its counters, flooring and goods from 1885 -1934, features displays changed throughout the season for your constant interest. The focus of this building (erected in 1885) is Commanda’s central location on the Old Rousseau-Nipissing settlers’ route which continues today as the central location for visitors to the whole region.

The Blue Heron Restaurant is the perfect place to stop and enjoy some refreshments. And don't miss the Blue Thursday Buffet in the Queen Victoria Dining Room at the Museum every Thursday at 5:30 starting the last Thursday in June through to the last Thursday in September.

The Queen Victoria Room is also available for private functions and/or meetings.

Check the 'Events' page for all the special activities and displays during the season.

The Artisans’ Shop features the wide array of goods produced by our local artisans as well as books and information on the area. And don’t forget our Murder Mysteries!! plus all the other special events held throughout the summer. Phone or fax for a brochure and plan to visit again and again.
